I got into a discussion with a wonderful friend of mine about Greek mythology and out of that was born Kyou or Kyo (it's actually pronounced the same way, it's just an alternate spelling). He’s loosely based off Cerberus from Greek mythology although his other two heads are in the form of soul snakes. I think the reason behind the soul snakes is that Cerberus in mythology has a mane of snakes.

I tried to keep him as close to the original design, which can be seen here: [link]

I did change/added a few things and plus my style makes him look way different sadly. But he was a lot of fun to draw ^^ But I don't want to think about how many colors I used on him :faint:

Some random info:

Name: Kyou
Nicknames: Kyo
Age: Unknown
Height: 3’ 5”
Weight: 78lbs
DOB: Oct 21st
Occupation: Gatekeeper between the world of the living and dead

Likes: cake, doing his job, snakes, playing with fire, skulking around, fighting any trespassers.

Dislikes: Trespassers, the living (to a certain degree), bright light, anyone messing with his soul snakes, water.

Talents: Kyou was born out of the world and therefore is ageless, immortal, and cannot be truly killed. He possesses the ability to control fire and knows all about the world of the dead. He has excellent endurance, considerable strength and has a full demon form which grants him his full abilities and powers.

Weaknesses: Bright light, water, his slight gullible nature, his short temper. His soul snakes can also be a weakness because they have alternate personalties and can affect his decision-making

Personality: Kyou is a complicated being with his three heads. His main personality is collected and sharp, with a level head and slightly gullible nature. His only mission in life is to do his job. Nothing more. However, he has two alternate personalities housed in his soul snakes. The snake on his right hand, named Krios, is loving, shy, and quiet and is triggered by affection and love. The snake on his left hand, named Ryuu, is very violent and is triggered by hate and anger. Any one of the two soul snakes can influence Kyo’s personality depending on the situation, with possibly devastating results.

Yeah the snakes were :iconcrystalmoonlight: 's original design and I kind of liked them.

Thanks! They were actually easier to draw than I thought they would be. I think it was all those years of drawing dragons. :)

Yeah. I used a very simplified design. YOu used a complex design :) I like that :)

The nice thing about simple though is that it's easy to draw consistently. ^^
Huh, I just got a strange idea for a pic. But it wouldn't work since Zig Zag doesn't have his tail ring anymore.

It would've been Gar, Zig Zag, Snakey, and...sorry I can't remember Zig Zag's snake's name ^^; vs. Kyou, Krios, and Ryuu.

It won't matter :)
Sometimes Zig Zag takes COnstrictor from Dagger occasionally and uses him for a little bit, then returns it. :) But it's your choice. Shame. I would have LOVEd to see that !
